What Trump’s Ballroom Confirms
Forget public service. Republicans want a government of self-serving, aristocratic rule
He promised it would not be demolished. He pledged it would not even touch the existing structure, paying “total respect” to a building he claimed was his “favorite.” As with everything that passes Trump’s lips, he lied.
In addition to all his other mounting crimes against the people, the country and its Constitution, Trump’s destruction of the east wing of the White House to construct a vulgar gilded ballroom bearing his name makes clear that Trump and his Republican enablers not only fundamentally loathe America, they’re confused by her.
