Donald Trump, a convicted felon with an insatiable black hole of need and greed where a personality should be, has disgraced America yet again. His latest act of depravity is pardoning former Virginia sheriff Scott Jenkins, who was convicted for handing out deputy badges to his rich pals for “over $75,000”.
If you’re surprised, you haven’t been paying attention. Republicans don’t enter government “service” for altruism—they do it to line their own pockets and rig the game. That’s the essence of Trump’s presidency: a bribe-fueled bonfire, with the Republican Party eagerly tossing America’s dignity into the flames.
A Convicted Felon Pardons A Convicted Felon
Scott Jenkins, a longtime Trumpanzee, was convicted on multiple counts: conspiracy, honest services fraud, and seven counts of bribery. He accepted over $75,000 in cash and campaign donations from businessmen (and undercover FBI agents) who wanted the perks of law enforcement credentials—like dodging traffic tickets and carrying concealed weapons—without the inconvenience of having to go through training or background checks.
The badges allowed recipients to evade traffic tickets and carry concealed firearms without permits. These included wealthy businessmen, and at least one was a convicted felon whose gun rights Jenkins helped restore because… you know… laws are for liberals.
Jenkins was sentenced to 10 years in prison, but Trump swooped in to save his loyalist from accountability, declaring him a “wonderful person” victimized by the “Radical Left monsters”. By “radical left monsters”, of course, he meant a jury of Americans who saw the evidence and sent the Trump flunky to prison to pay for his crimes against the people.
Of course, Trump didn’t pardon Jenkins because of any interested in justice. He did it to reinforce the notion that unbridled criminality is a privilege reserved for Trump-enabling MAGAts. It’s a circle jerk of sycophancy and corruption.
Unabashed Corruption is the New Republican Platform
Traitor Trump’s Crypto Bribe Party
While the “forgotten” Americans beg for FEMA assistance, Trump hosted a “crypto bribe party” at his golf club. The guest list? 220 investors in his meme coin, $TRUMP, who spent nearly $400 million for a chance to dine with the so-called president. Many of these investors are anonymous, and a significant portion are foreign, thanks to the crypto being sold on an exchange that caters solely to non-Americans.
The Republicans pretended not to know about it or made excuses, saying Traitor Trump was doing it on his own time (as if the President HAS his own time). Regardless, the worst and most corrupt president in American history was flown to his tacky golf club on Marine One and stood behind a podium displaying the seal of the President of the United States. The bribee even gave some of the bribers a tour of OUR White House.
Trump once called Bitcoin a “scam”. He should know, given his life of peddling them. He ‘saw the light’s regarding crypto when he found out what an anonymous bribe hole it was. The message is clear. With Traitor Trump in the White House, America is for sale.
Trump’s Saudi Bribe Bazaar
The bribes aren’t just coming from crypto bros. Trump raked in luxury gifts from foreign governments—Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE—who know exactly how to grease the gears of the Trump machine. Qatar’s $400 million “gift” is a personal bribe to Trump, with plans to transfer it to his “presidential library” after he leaves office. The American taxpayer gets stuck with the bill to retrofit it for security, while Trump gets a flying palace for his useless, waste-of-human-DNA carcass.
Let’s not forget Jared Kushner, who scored a $2 billion investment from the Saudi sovereign wealth fund, despite the board’s supposed concerns about the fact he had absolutely no experience with sovereign wealth funds. Senator Chris Murphy aptly called this a “national security disaster and a moral abomination.” And he’s putting it mildly.
Trump isn’t hiding his corruption. He flaunts it, betting that if he does it in public, Americans will be continuously conditioned to think this is normal politics. But this is not normal. It’s a hostile takeover of democracy by a crime family with no decency, and bottomless greed and its Republican enablers.
The Republican Death Cult of Self-Serving Greed
The Republican Party is now a greed-centered death cult, defending and enabling their criminal Standard Bearer, while grabbing as much as they can for themselves.
When Democrats are caught in scandals, they cut ties. When Senator Bob Menendez was convicted of accepting gold bars and cash—Democrats immediately called for his resignation. When Republicans are caught in the act of being their criminal selves — they attack and undermine the rule of law itself.
Case in point: Former Ohio House Speaker Larry Householder, sentenced to 20 years for a $60 million bribery scheme, clung to power until expelled by a bipartisan vote. I wonder when Trump will get around to pardoning him?
The Corrupt and Illegitimate Supreme Court Legalizes Bribery “Gratuity”
The corrupt and illegitimate Supreme Court, packed with Trump’s unhinged flunkies, has essentially legalized bribery— as long as they’re called “gratuities.” Billionaires shower justices with luxury gifts and trips, and the Republican appointees continue to lord over we, the plebians, without a modicum of shame.
Ben Franklin received a diamond-encrusted snuff box from the King of France that was worth about $30,000 in 1785 U.S. dollars. Adjusted for inflation and the value of gold and diamonds today, the estimated worth of the snuff box in current U.S. dollars is around $900,000.
Franklin accepted the gift, but Founders were so concerned about the corrupting influence of gifts and favors, that it led to the Emoluments Clause in the Constitution, which supposedly prohibits U.S. officials from accepting gifts from foreign states without congressional consent. Of course, “congressional consent” would require a Congress that wasn’t enabling and profiting off the corruption.
Today’s Republicans don’t care how unseemly a “gratuity” looks—they’re too busy counting the loot.
The Founders must be spinning in their graves but today’s Republicans are too busy counting their loot to care.
Democracy Disgraced and Denigrated by Republican Degenerates
Every day Trump and his Republican enablers remain in power, America’s reputation sinks deeper into the mud. The Founders risked everything to create a nation of laws; Trump and his party are dismantling it for a quick buck.
The damage is profound. The world now sees America as a banana republic, auctioning off its soul to the highest bidder. Recovery will be a long road.

The only way out is through solidarity, and relentless truth-telling until that great, gettin’ up morning where Republicans are finally held accountable.
The Republican death cult wants you to believe that corruption is inevitable and there’s nothing you can do about it. They want you to believe that democracy is a joke. Don’t buy it. True patriots fight for a country where public service means something, where laws apply to all, and where the American experiment survives the gaping black hole of Trump’s rapacious and bottomless greed.
