I’m a born-and-raised New Yorker who was in Manhattan the morning of September 11, 2001. I saw the Twin Towers fall with my own eyes. I remember the terror, the confusion, the grief, the outrage. I also remember the feeling of unmatched unity that settled over the nation in the aftermath.
