Today brings us a dual stark reminder of how unfit Trump truly is to serve in any public-facing capacity.

And one year ago today, Trump was found guilty by a unanimous jury on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records in the first degree. When MAGAts troll me and tell me I don’t know what he was convicted for, I show them that screenshot. Then they tell me the jury was rigged and the charges were fake, but fuck them.

I don’t know why four arrests in one year and 34 felony fraud convictions weren’t enough for the FEC to make an emergency ruling that would have disqualified him from running. No one has ever been able to explain that to me, and no amount of screaming into the endless abyss of the internet has brought me a satisfactory answer.
